Cordyline Burgundy Spire


'Burgundy Spire' is a stunning architectural plant that has glossy deep burgundy long narrow leaves. It has an erect growth habit developing a single trunk with age.

As with most Cordylines it is adaptable to many soil types and conditions but responds well to moist free draining soils. During Spring - Autumn a regular spray of insecticide suitable for controlling caterpillars will keep cutworm infestations under control.

Excellent plant to create a statement in gardens and landscapes. Ideal plant for use within pots and in a patio environment.

Impressive Cordyline with luscious wide foliage of deep emerald green which arch out from the strong upright stem.

Plant in sun or partial shade. Reasonably tolerant of most soils but prefers well drained soil. Generally easy care. An annual dressing of slow release fertiliser will ensure colour intensity.

During Spring-Autumn a regular spray with an insecticide suitable for controlling caterpillars will keep cutworm infestations under control.

Easy to grow and suitable for most situations and suitable for coastal planting.

Also ideal as a container plant for the patio or deck.

The arching leaves have a spearmint green edge with an earthy brown mid section. It has a flax-like clumping growth habit.

As with most Cordylines it is adaptable to many soil types and conditions. It will tolerate dry conditions but responds well to moist free-draining soils. During Spring-Autumn a regular spray with an insecticide suitable for controlling caterpillars will keep cutworm infestations under control.

Plant in full sun or partial shade. It is frost and coastal tolerant.

Colourful semi-arching leaves the feature being the MAGENTA coloured stripes along the length of the leaf blade. Another feature is the clumping growth habit.

Leaves are deep purple with a pinkish red mid rib. It has a flax like habit due to it's clumping habit. It will develop a multi stem with age.
